GUARDIAN GUARDS PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Guardian Security Guards assist at Coleman A. Young Municipal Center after fire closes building.

Southfield, Michigan, July 29, 2008 — On Friday, June 27, 2008, a lightening strike caused a transformer fire in the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in downtown Detroit. The fire and ensuing smoke damage resulted in the Center being closed for over a week. Before the fire was even out, Guardian Security officers were deployed around the facility to ensure that no unauthorized persons gained entry while the fire was being fought.

After the fire was out, an army of clean-up and restoration workers moved in. To adequately protect the facility, the temporary clean-up workers, and their equipment, Guardian Security was tasked to add as many as 50 additional officers per shift. Guardian Guard Division General Manager David Beeler remarked, “I can’t think of another contract guard company in Metro Detroit that could have ramped up to such high numbers with virtually no advance warning, not to mention that many of these shifts occurred on or about the Fourth of July Holiday. Guardian Security was able to utilize its large Metro Detroit presence to meet our customer’s security needs during this emergency.”
